How to Reactivate a Security Device or Code Card

Account holders operating in a transitional security state are provided a limited window (2 days for temporary pass code; 21 days for Online Security Code Card) to secure and re-activate their permanent device, after which time access will be suspended and Customer Service assistance required.  If you have regained possession of your permanent device or its replacement within these time frames, you may re-activate your permanent device without Customer Service assistance.

Steps for obtaining your new security code card (within Account Management)

Once you log into Account Management using your temporary passcode, or online security code card, the following steps are required to reactivate a security device:

1. Select the menu options Manage Account --> Security --> Secure Login System --> Security Device.

2. Select the option 'Activate my new/existing Secure Login Device' and press the button 'Continue'

3. Confirm that the serial number of the device presented online corresponds to that which is on the back of your device and, if so, click on the 'Activate' button.  If not, contact Customer Service. If you have been assigned multiple devices, you'll be presented with a serial number for each online and will therefore need to select the matching number prior to clicking on the 'Activate' button.

4. You will then be prompted to enter a passcode from your device, in a manner similar to the authentication process which takes place upon login. Once entered, click on the 'Submit' button. If successful, the permanent device will now be re-activated and required to be used upon each login attempt thereafter.
